Haven’t Filed Your Tax Returns?

Haven’t Filed Your Tax Returns? Let’s Take the First Step.

If you have fallen behind on tax returns, getting caught up may feel overwhelming. Missing records, life changes, or concern about what you owe can make it hard to begin. You do not have to figure it out alone.

File—even if you cannot pay

If you are required to file, an inability to pay is not a reason to put it off. Filing past-due returns helps establish what you actually owe and can prevent additional failure-to-file penalties from accumulating. I help individuals and business owners identify the returns they need to file, gather available records, and prepare their overdue returns.

Explore your payment options

Once your filing requirements are addressed, we can review your finances and consider appropriate IRS options:

  • An installment agreement to pay over time.
  • An Offer in Compromise, if you qualify, to settle for less than the full balance.
  • Currently Not Collectible status, if financial hardship prevents payment. This temporarily delays collection; it does not erase the debt, and interest and penalties generally continue.

Some situations need additional care

If your situation involves intentionally concealed income or other potential criminal tax issues, consult a tax attorney before submitting returns or disclosures. The IRS Voluntary Disclosure Practice may be appropriate in some cases, but it does not guarantee immunity from prosecution.
